Remove all construction materials

Start by removing all construction materials from the area that is to be cleaned. This includes any debris, dust, or dirt that may have been left behind, as well as actual materials such as timber. If you have lots of rubbish, consider hiring a professional rubbish removal service to take it away quickly. This can be costly but is much easier, quicker and more reliable than waiting for the council to do it.

Builders often leave their tools behind too by accident. So if this is the case, put the tools in a bag somewhere safe and let the builder know they need to collect them.
