Plus, their irregular size, colour and glaze can add plenty of charm to your scheme. To boost the wow factor of your bathroom, you can opt for statement natural stone. “Marble embodies opulence, and is durable and timeless, which is why it’s found in some of the world’s most lavish hotels and resorts. From soft-coloured marble such as the Italian Carrara to more striking options including Panda marble, the looks that can be achieved are endless, making it entirely versatile for all areas of the home,” advises Mike.

“To ensure the perfect ambience, we recommend rainfall overhead showers, adjustable body jets, chromotherapy showers with built-in lighting, hydrotherapy and, if budget permits, a sauna,” says John Naughten, managing director of Bathroom Design Studio London. Personally, I love the sound of this!
Yousef Mansuri, director of design at CP Hart, agrees: “Not only do they add an air of luxury, but saunas also offer numerous benefits, including physical restoration, skin cleansing and detoxification. Introducing a sauna into your home brings the spa experience right to your doorstep, enhancing comfort and health in your daily routine.”
Feeling extra? “For that added touch of pampering, how about including under-tile heating and a sunshower that combines heat and light for the ideal spa experience?” adds John. Dreamy, right?
The finishing touches
Brushed brass hardware will add a dash of luxury to your scheme. And, to tie the look together, Mike recommends keeping finishes consistent across your fixtures to nail the expensive aesthetic.
