Entire collections painted in avocado green, happy pink vanities and lavish, dark spaces that set the tone for an atmospheric soak… We explore the bathroom trends expected to be big in 2025.
When looking into bathroom trends for 2025, it became clear that striking shades aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. Only this time, jolly splashes of colour are set to co-exist with subtle green hues as well as darker, moody shades that help create an opulent, restful retreat.
Of course, marble will remain the star of the show in the new year, now complemented by wellness elements and ultra-tactile, beautifully raw surfaces. Read on to discover our predictions…
Avocado green bathrooms
Particularly popular in the 1970s, avocado green teased us with making a comeback a couple of years ago, but now, it’s returning with a bang in 2025 – covering everything from baths and basins to tiles and accessories.
This hue is versatile, adding charm to contemporary schemes and looking just as great in more traditional settings, too. From walls and floors to furniture and coloured sanitaryware, you can find a wide range of different bathroom elements drenched in this shade, making it easier than ever to achieve your dream green design.
Wellness retreat
When it comes to bathrooms, the love for all things natural has been taken one step further, taking the shape of a serene wellness oasis. Just like in a plush spa, homeowners are keener than ever to indulge in comfort and self-care at home, via a calm design and palette, but also elements like freestanding Japandi baths, heated towel rails and intuitive shower heads. Dark and moody bathrooms
In 2025, moody and ultra-opulent bathrooms are set to have their moment. Shades such as deep blues, greens, or the dramatic black, as well as stones like marble and granite in dark variations, are just what you’ll need to achieve this decadent look. Pair them with metal accents for a super-sleek finishing touch.

Dopamine décor
If you are more of a maximalist, the ‘dopamine décor’ trend has one single goal: to bring you joy. Picture a riot of colour and showstopping, flamboyant patterns. Whether it’s animal-printed wallpaper or a painted tub and matching basin, dare to go bold with your design in 2025.
“The bathroom is a great place to start when it comes to embracing this trend, which is all about taking a fun and adventurous approach to your home décor choices,” says Alex Heslop, trend expert at Flooring Superstore.
Tactile experience
If you loved the fluted and reeded furniture trend in 2024, guess what – it’s becoming even more prominent in 2025, as are raw materials that practically beg us to touch them.
From wood to clay to stone, it’s all about texture, so don’t be afraid to experiment with the most unprocessed materials to give your bathroom an unfiltered look and tactile feel.
Marble mania
It’s become clear by now that marble will not only dominate interiors in 2025, but bold, exciting takes on this sumptuous material are bound to find their way into your bathroom. Think classic white or black marble but with heavily detailed veining in a variety of shades.
“Marble with strong veining adds movement to a surface, which therefore creates depth. It can make a wonderful focal point, adds a touch of luxury and creates real wow factor,” says Louisa Morgan, creative director at Mandarin Stone.
