Introducing the ultimate kitchen storage ideas: Hi November issue!

November issue of Kitchens Bedrooms & Bathrooms magazine

Say hello to the November issue of Kitchens Bedrooms & Bathrooms – out now! There’s plenty for you to explore this month, from the three most-wanted storage solutions to bedroom design philosophies, so here is a sneak peek of what you can find inside…

Our main kitchen feature is on three things that transcend trends and are the epitome of luxurious storage. Features anyone getting a kitchen would want, if budget was no concern – the utility, the walk-in pantry and the breakfast cupboard. (Kitchen ‘porn’, essentially. I considered having this as our main cover line, but thankfully I thought better of it).

Feature on kitchen storage. Walk-in pantry in a wood kitchen with green interiors and velvet banquette seating.
This kitchen storage solution is a wonderland of practicality and organisation.
Feature on kitchen storage. Utility room with dark cabinetry and stacked appliances.
The utility is the hub of miscellaneous activity that extends far beyond piles of laundry.

And then there’s so much more to tantalise your interiors taste buds with. Think gorgeous real homes, easy-to-maintain bathrooms and swoon-worthy, bar stool-free kitchen islands.

We’ve listed the main things to consider when planning your space, if you want it to be a calm and clean sanctuary with zero design regrets.

The curtain comeback

Another feature bound to spark your interest is the return of the curtain. Yes, I know it’s controversial; “really, Georgina – a shower curtain?” I hear you question dubiously. Granted, they’re not everyone’s cup of tea, and that feeling when it sticks to your body, truly is the stuff of nightmares.

BUT
but, they are an incredibly cost-effective way of adding personality to your bathroom, and they are practical, too. It’s not just the shower curtain, but kitchen sink skirts and cupboard curtains are back as well.

I tried to tell my friend this a couple of months ago, when I first started noticing more and more kitchens featuring statement fabric. She has a space in between the cabinetry and under the worktop, that has to be left open due to a radiator. (It is also the place where she stores the bin and cat food). She wasn’t convinced – I wonder what she’ll say now I’ve commissioned an entire feature on it. (Please, Kayley, take the hint and get the curtain.)

Design concepts

In fact, we’ve touched on a few design concepts in this issue: from using geometrics, to an opinion piece I’ve written on all of the things we’re meant to be ‘drenching’ our homes in at the moment – from colours, patterns to stone. (It may not seem it but, actually, I really like these looks. The name, not so much ).

So, for whatever reason you bought this issue (thanks, by the way), I’m positive there will be something in here to help inspire, educate and excite you.

From double drenching your kitchen to dressing your bedroom in patterns, will these ‘wet’ trends sink or swim?
