The most-watched Instagram renovation house tours of 2021

If you’ve never seen one of my Renovation Chats before ā€“ it’s where I have a natter to homeowners who have renovation Instagram accounts, and they give us a live tour of their home. We get to hear about their journey, from things they would do differently, to how they found living on site. Great for those about to embark, or in the middle of, fixing a doer upper (if I do say so myself).

I’ve loved all of the chats I’ve done, and I’d like to give a special shout out to all of those who have taken part (going live can be a pretty scary thing to do).

But, with thousands of you watching them, there are a top three that have amassed the most views – so I thought I would reshare these brilliant interviews.

Full of tips, advice and ideas – I hope these will help provide inspiration, comfort and everything in between for your own renovation project. Happy viewing!

#1 Renovation Chat: @85_wf

With nearly 2000 views, my Renovation Chat with Katie from @85_wf was watched the most in 2021.

As part of the chat, she took us around her impressive rear open-plan rear extension and master suite loft conversion. You can check it out below.

I love her beautiful kitchen – by McClark Joinery ā€“ and the colour of her units. Those steel-framed windows are also pretty impressive the way the fit perfectly to the sloped roof. Simply stunning.

#2 Renovation chat: this_e17_life

With more than 1000 views, my interview with Nikki from @this_e17_life is our second most-watched renovation chat of 2021. She showed us around her beautiful home which features a rear and side-return kitchen extension.

They also borrowed space from a former dining room to create a pantry, a downstairs WC, and utility room – a great way of utilising space!

You can check the interview out below.

Their family bathroom is also a real showstopper space, which features a freestanding tub placed at an angle, two basins, and clever ways of hiding kids’ bath toys. It’s also houseplant goals!

#3 Renovation Chat: @homewiththemarks

And coming in at third place, with just over 1000 views, my interview with Mark from @homewiththemarks was the third most-watched.

We got to take a look around their cottage in the Aberdeenshire countryside. The property had been in Mark’s family for generations, and they’ve completely modernised it to have a contemporary, but cosy, feel.

I love their kitchen with extra-large island that’s perfect for entertaining. Also, their bathroom features the most impressive shower head.
