Have you recently purchased a new kitchen with shiny new ovens, hob and fridge-freezer? Have you thought about registering your appliances?
Free and easy, The Association of Manufacturers of Domestic Appliances‘ (AMDEA) Register My Appliance scheme ensures that owners can be contacted in the rare event of a product safety notification, recall or modification requirement.
And itâs not just for new models, as Paul Hide, AMDEA‘s chief executive officer, explains: âWe urge anyone with unregistered appliances â whether brand-new, a pre-used buy, or installed a while ago â to register all their appliances so they can be contacted in case of any safety notifications, repairs or recalls.
âMost manufacturers accept registrations of machines up to 12 years old, and thereâs no need for a proof of purchase. Itâs a win-win for keeping your home safe and possibly increasing the life span of your machine.”
