Luxury translucent baths, fuchsia countertop appliances and tactile storage units – these are just a few of the latest launches in the industry. The April issue of Kitchens Bedrooms & Bathrooms is out now, which means it’s time for our interiors news roundup.
With spring just around the corner, I was especially excited to sit down and write this month’s Trending pages of the magazine. Here, I’ve picked my top five favourite launches. Starting off bold – we take a look at Kitchenaid‘s blender and mixer in the brand’s new Colour of the Year for 2023, as well as Iliv‘s psychedelic textiles, which are perfect for a bedroom refresh. Then, if you enjoy a bubbly soak, you’ll love Lusso‘s new bath – it’s made from resin, which gives it a smoky, transparent finish.
Make sure to get your screenshot button ready – I’ve also included three of the latest kitchen designs to get your moodboard going in case your scheme needs of an update. Plus, if you’ve rolled up your sleeves and you’re ready for a good spring-cleaning session, why not get your storage sorted with Claybrook‘s fluted furniture?
Ready to find out more? Then let’s begin…
Resin baths
Bathroom brand Lusso has launched Amore – its first collection of transparent luxury baths made from resin. If you love a bubbly soak, then this one’s for you. This style of tub has a curved shape, providing a comfortable bathing experience.
Plus, it is available in two finishes: Smoked Black and the pictured Amber. Although measuring 170cm, they weigh less than the average natural stone baths – bonus.
Pops of pink
Kitchenaid has announced its Colour of the Year for 2023 – say hello to Hibiscus. The rich fuchsia shade with a matt finish is set to stimulate your senses and boost your energy at home.
Are you the star baker of the family? Then why not liven up your breakfast bar and ease your job with one of these bright countertop appliances?
Vibrant fabrics
Interior textiles brand Iliv’s latest collection, titled Babooshka, is reminiscent of the music festivals of the 60s and 70s. The intricate Indian-inspired designs, bold psychedelic prints, and vibrant patterns, all wrapped in colour-confident combinations, embody the free-spirited atmosphere of those times.
The new fabrics are great for elevating your home’s style. For example, you can go for an ornate headboard, like the one pictured below, and achieve a mood-boosting bedroom scheme by choosing bright paint shades, green bobbin furniture, and ornate cushions.
New modern kitchen designs
Superfront
Looking for new design ideas to elevate your kitchen style? Well, we’ve got great news – Swedish brand Superfront has launched Bruta, a collection of modern base units, wall cabinets, and high cupboards.
Created in collaboration with design studio Raw Edges, the base doors are available in matt lacquered off-white or off-black, and the high cupboards in oak veneer and black oak. The textured wall cabinets, which come in five colours including Terracotta and Moss Green, are ideal for sleek, handleless kitchens.
Rotpunkt
German kitchen manufacturer Rotpunkt has expanded its range of finishes with the launch of its soft-coat lacquer Velvet Green. Shown below on the modern Smala door, the vibrant hue has anti-fingerprint properties and is easy to clean – great for busy family kitchens.
Available in matt or gloss, the finish is also highly resistant to chemicals and scratches. For a cohesive, nature-inspired look, pair the brand’s new Velvet Green with natural materials such as wood or concrete.
Tip: If you are looking to upgrade your setup this year, then why not opt for an open plan kitchen layout with a central island dressed in the same finish as the units? This way you can achieve a pretty yet multi-functional look. Sorted!
Herringbone Kitchens
Bespoke kitchen company Herringbone Kitchens has unveiled a new style of cabinetry, influenced by the Georgian period – The Grosvenor. Great for modern and classic schemes, the doors feature moulding inspired from the Neoclassical era of architecture.
So, the pretty detailing on the units helps create a contemporary Shaker-style look. Plus, the new design is nicely complemented by brass finishes, grainy wood and veiny work surfaces.
Fluted furniture
Claybrook’s new wall-mounted and freestanding cabinets, part of the Loop collection, feature trendy fluted wood fronts. The two and three-door units are great solutions for both small spaces and grand layouts. Available in a pale neutral hue and a dark grey, you can pick from 60cm and 80cm widths to sort your storage needs.
Choose your favourite neutral tiles, natural stone baths, matt black brassware and matching accessories to finish your modern bathroom look.
