8 amazing walk in shower areas

A common debate at These Three Rooms HQ: should you have a shower, a bath or both? For me, it’s a walk in shower – there is nothing more luxury in a bathroom than a spacious walk in wetroom-style area. Having recently renovated our own bathroom, this very debate was at the forefront for many months. With a young family, however, we needed both a bath and a shower. Read about my renovation here.

If, like me, you are team shower – and particularly the walk in, luxury-type, then journo Nicola Hanley has all the inspiration you need right here. From elegant spa-inspired fittings to smart app-controlled technologies and statement styles that would suit a top hotel, think large enclosures with a wetroom feel, a big overhead shower or two, flush flooring so you can walk right in, and relaxing extras such as ambient lighting and message jets. It’s all about championing the shower and making it the place to be.
