Spring is in bloom at the Kitchens Bedrooms & Bathrooms HQ – say hello to our March issue, out now!
From the latest Spring Summer 2025 looks and kitchen styles to bed frames and types of toilet, this issue is packed with expert advice and design inspiration to help you along your project. So, here is what we’ve prepared for you this month…
Kitchen styles 101
I was as completely flabbergasted when our art editor, Kerrie, told me how much she and her group of friends were going to pay for a three-hour colour analysis to discover which tones and hues suit them. “I might have to buy a new wardrobe,” she mused.
I’d heard of colour consultancy for paint – so I guess it shouldn’t come as a surprise that exists for fashion, too. (And after researching it a little, I now realise I’m very late to the game).
But this got me thinking; why not pay a small fortune to be told you’re a ‘soft summer’ and should steer clear of blacks? If there’s someone who can help you look good and feel good, then go for it, I say. On that note, while I won’t be able to help you choose your kitchen based on the colour of your eyes or your star sign, I can certainly help get you started on the journey of deciding what type suits you and your home best (all for the small price of our magazine!).
This is thanks to our feature which breaks down all the different styles of cabinetry, from Shaker, handleless, fluted to freestanding, listing everything you need to know about each. What’s more, the appetite for the stylish and oh-so-practical floor-to-ceiling cabinetry is on the rise, so we investigate why.
More expert advice and design ideas
This month, we’re also delving into the history of the toilet – from Roman sewage systems to smart shower WCs, how did it all begin and where is the loo going? And, if you’ve been thinking about turning your bed into a statement feature, we’re bringing you the current trends and the latest looks.
We also feature some stunning – and all very different to each other – case studies to inspire you further. As always, the issue is bursting with expert advice, design ideas, and practical features that will help you at each stage of your project; from picture windows all the way through to the art of ambient lighting.
So, while I fire up the girls’ WhatsApp group and see who wants to join me for a colour analysis, I hope you enjoy the issue…
