Dark bathrooms: the opulent aesthetic to try in 2025

We explore the moodiest, yet sleekest, bathroom trend of 2025. Ready to go dark?

In 2025 moody, ultra-opulent bathrooms are set to have their moment in the sun – irony fully intended. Shades such as deep blues, greens, or the dramatic black, as well as stones like marble and granite in dark variations, are just what you’ll need to achieve this decadent look. Pair them with metal accents for a super-sleek finishing touch.

“Deep shades such as charcoal, navy and forest green will create a rich, opulent feel,” says Jeevan Seth, CEO at JTP, and Bo Hellberg, CMO at String Furniture, agrees, putting an emphasis on black.

“While black can seem overwhelming to incorporate into an interior scheme, it can also perfectly tie a room together and make a unique design statement, especially when used up on the walls,” says Bo. “Why not bring an element of drama to your bathroom with a dark feature wall, or simply incorporate a subtle hint with your bathroom shelf?”
