Clerkenwell Design Week is back in full force with hundreds of showrooms and numerous exhibitions dedicated to all things interiors. And, of course, we’ve got the lowdown…
Walking up the steps of Farringdon station, I could feel the excited buzz of interiors enthusiasts hurrying towards Clerkenwell Design Week 2025 – me included. And it wasn’t the caffeine that was getting me giddy, but the thought about all the new releases and inspiring ideas I was about to discover.
So, with a steaming hot mocha in one hand and the festival map in the other (yes, old school), I started my route towards all the interiors showrooms, venues, and exhibitions.
Clerkenwell Design Week highlights:
Mustard tones
Yellow is shining brighter than ever in interior design at the moment, whether that’s furniture, soft furnishings, or flourishing touches. Inside the Church of Design (yes, the venue really was a church), AGA unveiled its newest colourway – Mustard. Ideal for adding a pop of colour to your kitchen, it pairs well with soft shades of green, woods, and neutrals, as well as deeper burgundies for those who love a statement look.
Since I was in the neighbourhood, I couldn’t help but pop by West One Bathrooms‘ showroom. And guess what – its latest range, which is titled Azzurra, includes a delicious Mango shade amongst its muted colour palette. With soft curves and a shiny gloss finish, the coloured toilets and basins are sure to add a dose of dopamine to your space.
Stunning surfaces
Cosentino opened its doors to interiors lovers during Clerkenwell Design Week, and I was keen to discover its latest surfaces. Dark worktops are particularly trending in kitchen design, and the statement Romantic Ash colourway was the first to catch my eye.
Alternatively, if you are a neutrals lover but still want to make a statement, Florim Stone marble-look porcelain surfaces by Florim are ideal for adding a dash of luxury to your kitchen with no compromises on practicality.
Indoor-outdoor living
During Clerkenwell Design Week, I’ve also noticed a shift towards indoor-outdoor living. So, if you, too, are looking to bring nature in, Domus‘ new Cork (engineered cork), Coast (porcelain terrazzo), and Lusa (terracotta-inspired ceramic tiles) surfaces are adorned with texture and sure to help you add visual interest to your walls and floors.
How about indulging in a bubbly soak… in your garden? Victoria + Albert Baths previewed its new Kerid tub during Clerkenwell Design Week (available from September), which is suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation. Rather than traditional bathing, it promotes the wellness benefits of a relaxing, spa-like soaking experience. I don’t know about you, but to me, this sounds like a dream!
Terrazzo takeover
Although it’s been around for a while now, terrazzo seems to be slowly but surely cementing itself as a stylish choice for both kitchens and bathrooms. Havwoods showcased its TreeAzzo resin-bound wood particle material during CDW, which is a serious eye-catcher. Available in different colourways, from Pistachio to Raspberry, it can be used in various ways such as for floors, walls, cabinetry, worktops and splashbacks.
Dopamine boost
Do you love the classic look of wood, with a twist? Next on the list, I stopped by the British Collection venue to see Pluck‘s gorgeous kitchen furniture in collaboration with Schotten & Hansen. Here, the German timber specialist painted Douglas Fir veneers in bespoke pigments inspired by Pluck’s shades. The setup was complete with a chic upholstered banquette seat, adorned with candy-coloured stripes.
Carrying on with the mood-boosting colours and prints, I was also drawn to Divine Savages‘ beautiful stand at Clerkenwell Design Week and its new colourways for the Lovebirds and Portobello Parade wallpaper designs – perfect for adding the wow factor to your kitchen, bedroom, or bathroom.
And, of course, I couldn’t miss VitrA‘s showroom window display, which is straight out of a glossy brochure – from the timeless sanitaryware, chunky mirror, to the sleek wood furniture and colourful tiles.
