Pantone has announced its Colour of the Year for 2024! Drum roll, please…
Every year, for the last 25 years, the Pantone Colour Institute finds the hue they predict will best represent the year ahead. The Pantone Colour of the Year 2024 is Peach Fuzz (Pantone 13-1023) – a gentle peach shade, with just the right balance of pink and orange.
Laurie Pressman, vice president at Pantone Colour Institute, describes it as: “a velvety gentle peach whose all-embracing spirit enriches heart, mind, and body.”
“Subtly sensual, Pantone 13-1023 Peach Fuzz is a heartfelt peach hue bringing a feeling of kindness and tenderness, communicating a message of caring and sharing, community and collaboration. A warm and cosy shade highlighting our desire for togetherness with others or for enjoying a moment of stillness and the feeling of sanctuary this creates, Pantone 13-1023 Peach Fuzz presents a fresh approach to a new softness,” she says.
How can you use Pantone’s Peach Fuzz in your home?
Peach Fuzz mixes dreamy shades of pink and orange, making it a universal and bright tone. This means it can be easily introduced in a variety of interior styles. It is said to be very calming, which will work perfectly in relaxing spaces such as bathrooms or bedrooms. However, it can also be paired with a variety of shades and we think it would also look stunning in busier areas like the kitchen.
“Introducing soft and cosy Pantone 13-1023 Peach Fuzz into home interiors creates a welcoming ambience. Promoting feelings of gentle warmth whether appearing on a painted wall, in home decor, or acting as an accent within a pattern, Pantone 13-1023 Peach Fuzz infuses our most personalised worlds with a comforting presence,” recommends Laurie.
“Conveying a message of tactility that comes through in suede, velvety, quilted, and furry textures, luxuriously soothing and soft to the touch, Pantone 13-1023 Peach Fuzz is an enveloping peach hue that awakens our senses to the comforting presence of tactility and cocooned warmth,” adds Laurie.
