It could be a consequence of getting older, or perhaps because of these peculiar times weâre in, but I have a different mindset these days. I want quality over quantity, I require space where I can switch off and relax, and an environment that is good for the mind, body, soul, and planet. I know this sounds a little ambitious, but itâs good to dream.
While I may not be able to do all this in my home at the moment â having a three-year-old rampage around the house doesnât exactly say âsereneâ â I have dedicated the May issue to the above, with our main features being on timeless kitchens, spa bathrooms and how to get a great night’s sleep.
How to have a timeless kitchen…
Having a kitchen built to last may cost more at the time of purchase, but it will save you money long term as you wonât have to replace elements that break, or change aspects that have dated which you no longer like. (It also means fewer things going to landfill.)
Think neutral shades, bespoke cabinets and efficient appliances. Our feature provides plenty of tips and beautiful inspiration you can take with you for your own design.
Moving away from the kitchen and on to the bathroom, why not create a tranquil feeling in your own spa-like space?
Itâs the perfect start to getting a good nightâs sleep, which we also explore in this issue â from bedding to dĂ©cor.
Other features in our May issue
We also look at glass extensions, improving your air quality at home and find the latest appliances with eco modes â along with plenty of other features, launches and amazing homes. Take a peek below…
So, in the spirit of the issue, why not find a calming corner to read this in, with a nice warming drink and maybe a biscuit or two. I wish you luck in planning your very own timeless kitchen, or spa bathrooms, or restful sleep space.
I hope you enjoy the issue,
