And hello spring! Welcome to the April 2021 issue of Kitchens Bedrooms & Bathrooms magazine.
I’ve been doing some pondering this month: when I think about my mission as editor of this very magazine, itâs always been about instilling confidence.
Planning and buying a kitchen is tricky. Doing anything to your home to get it how you like it is no mean feat and there are many choices to be made. From colours and materials to deciding what your style is. But particularly when it comes to kitchens and bathrooms, and the large amount of investment they often require (both in terms of time and money), I believe you should always feel 100% sure that youâre doing whatâs best for you.

A new room design is so much more than aesthetics. Itâs about how you live in it and how it could really improve your life. So the team and I always aim to inspire and give you the confidence to forge ahead with decisions â however small â having spent time digesting the expert advice, buying tips and carefully curated suggestions we put in front of you.

I like to call is being Kitchen Confident. Of course, knowledge is power, so this applies to bathroom and bedroom design too, but admittedly, it doesnât quite have the same ring to it, does it?
The motto of the April 2021 issue is exactly that. Thereâs a bumper guide to planning and buying a kitchen, which leads nicely into a detailed look at worktop options and how to pick the one for you.

If youâre unsure of what style of kitchen you want, take a look at the galleries and feel free to tear out as many as you like for your moodboard. While youâre at it download the free Project Planner Renovation Checklist to keep your project on track.

Thereâs lots more inspiration too, of course. From embracing the latest decorating trend of murals and deciding whether to forego the bath for an amazing shower room. To taking a peek around some very special real renovations in the Homes section, including the gorgeous industrial-inspired space on this month’s cover.
Whether youâre just starting a renovation, thinking about what your home could look like by the end of 2021 or working through your project, I say do so with total confidence.
